Lectio Divina (19/4/2020)
Jeremiah 23:16-22

“Repent, for the Kingdom of God is near” said John the Baptist, who called us for true repentance. We knew that John the Baptist is a true prophet and we should listen to him. A prophet is a messenger sent by God to deliver God’s word to sinful people like us, giving us a chance to turn back to God by calling us for true repentance, so that God did not destroy us due to our immoral actions. [Ezekiel 18:30-32 say “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord GOD. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live.”]

On the contrary, false prophets are wolves in sheep’s clothing and we can identify them by their fruits. [Matthew 7:15  “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Mat 7:20  Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.]. False prophets say “peace be with you and you do not have to worry about the sins you have committed.” God says that He did not send these false prophets to us. [Ezekiel 13:6  They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the LORD,’ when the LORD has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word.]

This is my prayer, “God, may you give us good judgment and discernment to differentiate true and false prophets by validating their message with the Word of God-Bible. May us listen to the warning given by true prophets and repent from what we have done, so that God will forgive us and protect our soul from the second death!”

耶利米书23：16-22

“悔改，因为天国临近了。”施洗约翰说，他呼吁我们真正悔改。我们知道施洗约翰是一位真正的先知，我们应该听他的话。先知是上帝派来的使者，将上帝的话语传达给像我们这样的有罪人民，使我们有机会通过呼唤我们真正的悔改而转向上帝，使上帝不会因我们的不道德行为而毁灭我们。 以西结书18：30-32说「以色列家啊，我必按你们各人所行的审判你们。你们当回头离开所犯的一切罪过。这样，罪孽必不使你们败亡。 你们要将所犯的一切罪过尽行抛弃，自做一个新心和新灵。以色列家啊，你们何必死亡呢？  主耶和华说：我不喜悦那死人之死，所以你们当回头而存活。」

相反，假先知是披着羊皮的狼，我们可以通过它们的果实​​来识别它们。 马太福音7:15 说「你们要防备假先知。他们到你们这里来，外面披著羊皮，里面却是残暴的狼。」马太福音7:20说「 这样，所以，凭著他们的果子就可以认出他们来」假先知说：“平安归于你，你不必担心自己犯下的罪过。”上帝说他没有派假先知给我们。 以西结书13：6 说「 这些人所见的是虚假，是谎诈的占卜。他们说是耶和华说的，其实耶和华并没有差遣他们，他们倒使人指望那话必然立定。」

这是我的祈祷，“上帝，愿你给予我们良好的判断力和辨别力，以区分真假先知，通过用神的话语验证他们的信息。愿我们听从真先知所发出的警告，并从我们的所作所为中悔改，以便上帝赦免我们，保护我们的灵魂免遭第二次的死亡！”

Let us surrender to God!

让我们降服于上帝！
